These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern Your access to and use of TaskRaid and the TaskRaid website and web application (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.

By creating an Account, accessing, or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You do not agree with these Terms, You must not use the Service.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

  • Account means a unique account created for You to access Our Service or parts of Our Service.

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") refers to TaskRaid.

  • Content means any text, information, data, images, descriptions, tasks, goals, statistics, or other material made available through the Service.

  • User Content means any Content that You create, submit, upload, or otherwise provide through the Service.

  • Service refers to the TaskRaid website and web application.

  • Website refers to TaskRaid, accessible from https://task-raid.onrender.com/.

  • Virtual Items means digital items available within the Service, including virtual currency, characters, customization options, cosmetic items, or similar digital content.

  • Purchases means transactions through which You obtain Virtual Items, digital features, subscriptions, or other paid content made available through the Service.

  • User means any individual who accesses or uses the Service.

  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service unless a higher minimum age is required by the laws applicable to You.

By using the Service, You represent that You meet the applicable age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If You are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, You represent that You have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

User Accounts

Some features of the Service require You to create an Account.

You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information when creating and maintaining Your Account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your Account credentials and for all activity that occurs under Your Account.

You must notify Us promptly if You believe that Your Account has been accessed without authorization or that Your credentials have been compromised.

You may not use another person's Account without their permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms or that are involved in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity.

Using TaskRaid

TaskRaid is a gamified productivity and personal organization service. It allows You to represent tasks and goals as enemies, mini-bosses, bosses, or other game elements and to track progress through game-like mechanics.

The Service may allow You to create personal statistics representing skills, habits, areas of development, or other attributes that You choose to track.

You may assign experience points ("XP") to tasks and use different conditions to determine when a task or goal is considered completed.

TaskRaid may provide different modes, including:

  • Rush Mode, intended for everyday, routine, or standalone tasks.
  • Dungeon Mode, intended for tasks and goals associated with a particular project, subject, or area of activity.

The exact functionality, rules, and mechanics of the Service may change over time.

Game Mechanics

The Service may include enemies, mini-bosses, bosses, Dungeons, XP, statistics, achievements, levels, coins, characters, and other game mechanics.

These features are intended to provide a gamified experience and do not constitute a guarantee of any particular productivity, educational, professional, financial, physical, or personal-development result.

XP, levels, statistics, achievements, progress, rankings, coins, Virtual Items, and other game-related data may be modified, adjusted, removed, reset, or otherwise changed when reasonably necessary, including to correct errors, prevent abuse, maintain game balance, or update the Service.

We do not guarantee that game progress or Virtual Items will always remain available or unchanged.

User Content

The Service may allow You to create and store User Content, including tasks, goals, descriptions, statistics, Dungeons, enemies, mini-bosses, bosses, and other information.

You retain ownership of Your User Content to the extent that You have rights in that content.

By submitting User Content to the Service, You grant Us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and otherwise use that User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, provide, secure, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for Your User Content and represent that You have the necessary rights to submit it to the Service.

You must not submit User Content that:

  • violates applicable laws or regulations;
  • infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of another person;
  • contains malicious code or other harmful material;
  • is intended to deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, or harm another person;
  • contains unlawful or abusive material; or
  • otherwise violates these Terms.

We reserve the right, but do not assume an obligation, to remove or restrict User Content that We reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service:

  • for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
  • to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
  • to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, another Account, or any related systems;
  • to interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Service;
  • to introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • to use automated systems, bots, scripts, or scraping tools to access or interact with the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on the Service or bypasses its intended functionality;
  • to exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities for personal gain or to disrupt the Service;
  • to manipulate XP, achievements, coins, Virtual Items, purchases, or other game mechanics through unauthorized means;
  • to impersonate another person or entity; or
  • to assist another person in violating these Terms.

Achievements, Coins and Virtual Items

TaskRaid may reward users with achievements, coins, characters, customization options, and other Virtual Items based on activity within the Service.

Virtual Items are digital content intended solely for use within TaskRaid.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Virtual Items have no monetary or cash value, are not legal tender, are not deposits or financial instruments, and cannot be exchanged for money or other goods or services outside the Service.

Virtual Items may not be sold, transferred, traded, or exchanged between users unless the Service explicitly provides such functionality.

We may modify the availability, functionality, pricing, or characteristics of Virtual Items when reasonably necessary to operate or improve the Service.

We do not guarantee that any particular Virtual Item will remain available indefinitely.

Purchases and Payments

TaskRaid may allow You to make Purchases of Virtual Items, digital features, characters, customization options, subscriptions, or other digital content.

The price and applicable terms of a Purchase will be displayed to You before You complete the transaction.

By completing a Purchase, You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method You have selected for the amount displayed at the time of purchase.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of a third-party payment provider may also be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

We may use third-party payment providers and may not receive or store full payment card information.

Purchase records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, customer support, dispute resolution, and other legitimate business or legal purposes.

Digital Content and Virtual Currency

Where You purchase or receive digital content or Virtual Items, You receive a limited right to access and use those items within the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Virtual currency, including coins or similar items, is not real currency and cannot be redeemed for cash unless We expressly state otherwise.

We may restrict, suspend, or remove Virtual Items or balances if We reasonably believe they were obtained through fraud, abuse, payment reversal, unauthorized access, technical errors, or violation of these Terms.

We may correct accidental grants, duplicated items, incorrect balances, or other technical errors affecting Virtual Items.

Refunds and Cancellations

Purchases of digital content may be subject to applicable consumer protection laws and any mandatory rights You may have under those laws.

Where required by applicable law, You may have a statutory right to cancel a purchase or request a refund under certain circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

Where a refund is issued, We may remove or revoke the corresponding digital content, Virtual Items, or other benefits associated with the refunded transaction.

If a payment is reversed, charged back, or otherwise invalidated, We may suspend or restrict access to the corresponding purchased content until the payment issue is resolved.

Subscriptions

If We offer subscription plans in the future, the applicable subscription price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation conditions will be presented to You before You subscribe.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, subscriptions may automatically renew for successive billing periods until cancelled.

You may cancel a subscription according to the cancellation mechanism provided by the Service or the applicable payment provider.

This section applies only if and when subscription functionality is offered through the Service.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, functionality, software, design, graphics, artwork, logos, trademarks, names, and other materials are owned by or licensed to the Company and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, You may not copy, modify, distribute, reproduce, sell, license, publicly display, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service without Our prior written permission.

Your use of the Service does not grant You ownership of any intellectual property belonging to the Company.

TaskRaid, the TaskRaid name, branding, logos, artwork, and associated visual elements may not be used in connection with another product or service without Our prior written permission.

Third-Party Services

The Service may use or integrate with third-party services, including authentication providers, analytics providers, hosting providers, payment providers, email providers, and other external services.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, security, or content of third-party services that are outside Our control.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also subject to Our Privacy Policy, which explains how We collect, use, store, and disclose Personal Data.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms by reference.

Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the Service available and functional, but We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical problems, security incidents, third-party service failures, or circumstances beyond Our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict any part of the Service at any time.

We may add, remove, or change features, game mechanics, pricing, Virtual Items, or other aspects of the Service.

Where reasonably appropriate, We may provide notice of material changes that significantly affect Your use of the Service.

Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete Your Account at any time, subject to any applicable legal or contractual obligations.

We may suspend or terminate Your Account if:

  • You materially violate these Terms;
  • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity;
  • Your use of the Service creates a security risk or threatens the integrity of the Service;
  • You attempt to manipulate purchases, Virtual Items, XP, achievements, or other game mechanics;
  • We are required to do so by law; or
  • continued provision of the Account or Service is no longer reasonably possible.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, We may provide You with an opportunity to correct a violation before terminating Your Account.

Upon termination, Your right to access and use the Service will cease.

Termination may result in the loss of access to Your Account, User Content, progress, XP, achievements, coins, Virtual Items, and other Account-related information, subject to applicable law and Our Privacy Policy.

Termination of Your Account does not automatically terminate obligations that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and applicable law.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet Your particular requirements, produce any particular result, or be continuously available or error-free.

TaskRaid is a productivity and gamification tool. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, educational, or professional advice.

You are responsible for determining how You use the Service and for the decisions You make based on information or progress tracked through the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company and its owners, operators, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to Your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

This may include, to the extent permitted by law, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, loss of goodwill, loss of digital progress, or loss of Virtual Items.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection law.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its owners, operators, affiliates, service providers, licensors, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to:

  • Your violation of these Terms;
  • Your unlawful use of the Service;
  • Your User Content; or
  • Your violation of the rights of another person or entity.

This provision does not apply to the extent that a claim results from Our own unlawful conduct, negligence, or other liability that cannot legally be transferred to You.

Consumer Rights

If You are a consumer residing in the European Union, the EEA, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, You may have rights that cannot be waived by contract.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict or exclude mandatory consumer rights available to You under applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Czechia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except where mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

If You are a consumer residing in the European Union or another jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protection rules apply, You may also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the laws of Your country of residence.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, We encourage You to contact Us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be handled by the competent courts determined under applicable law, subject to any mandatory rights You may have as a consumer.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or interpreted to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver

The failure of the Company to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of Our right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated into the Service, constitute the entire agreement between You and the Company regarding Your use of the Service, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When We make material changes, We may notify You by posting the updated Terms on the Service and, where appropriate or required by applicable law, by email or through a prominent notice within the Service.

We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms when changes are made.

Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If You do not agree with the revised Terms, You must stop using the Service and may delete Your Account.
